LAS VEGAS, NV — Oggie Nikolic, CEO and founder of Lind Health joined Lindsay Deneault, AVP Partnership and Development, and Kevin Plate, Vice President for Southeast Region, from Advocate Health on stage at HLTH 2025 (October 19–22, The Venetian Expo) to discuss how clinician-guided AI is reshaping access to cancer clinical trials.

The session explored a central challenge in oncology: only about 5% of eligible patients nationally take part in clinical trials, largely because manual eligibility screening is slow, inconsistent, and hard to scale. Lind and Advocate Health shared how embedding automated, clinician-supervised trial screening directly into the electronic health record can surface eligible patients who would otherwise be missed, without removing clinicians from the decision.

The conversation built on the partnership between Lind and Advocate Health, the third-largest nonprofit health system in the U.S., which in 2025 screened nearly 1 million patients for cancer across more than 130 clinics and is running the first prospective trial of Lind’s platform with Wake Forest University School of Medicine as its academic core.

“Sharing this work alongside Advocate Health at HLTH reflects exactly how we believe AI should enter healthcare — in close partnership with the clinicians and systems doing the work,” said Oggie Nikolic, CEO and founder, Lind.
